How will I know in which events my swimmer will compete?

The individual events that swimmers will be scheduled to swim will be posted in advance on the Sharonville Sharks bulletin board in the concession area. Parents/swimmers should check this list so they know what events they need to be ready for. The coaches will post the Relay Teams on Monday at Championships after the Backstroke event. Swimmers will need to check and see if they are scheduled to swim a relay. If the coaches need to take a swimmer out of an individual event for a Relay Team, they will be notified in person by the coach and their name will be listed on the Event Scratch Sheet posted in the team area at championships.

What will be the procedure for competing?

There will be no lane slips used at Championships. Heat Sheets are used to define what lane and heat of the event swimmers are swimming in. Each swimmer needs to check the Heat Sheet to find out what event, heat and lane they are assigned to swim in. At Session I (Monday a.m.), there will be a Clerk of Course where the swimmers will report to and be placed in the order they are swimming. Parent volunteers will then take the swimmers down to the blocks at the proper time. The Clerk of Course will also be used for the Relay Teams; however, for the Monday p.m. session and the Individual Finals Heats on Tuesday swimmers should report directly to the blocks. Swimmers will need to listen for their event and get either to the clerk of course or to the block on their own. Remember, if you miss an event on Tuesday, you are disqualified from swimming in any remaining events.

How can I find out my swimmer's results?

Results will be posted after each event is finished to show in what order the swimmers finished after combining all the heats. Only the top twelve swimmers in each event will swim in Finals on Tuesday. All 6 & Under Individual Events and Relays are timed finals and they only swim once. The 8 & Under Freestyle Relay is the only relay swum on Monday at the end of Session I. All other relays are swum on Tuesday.
